On December 28th, 2024, Guangzhou's first metro loop line, Line 11, officially began operating.
Guangzhou Metro Line 11 spans 44.2 kilometers and passes through five central districts. It has 31 stations, with 26 interchange stations, providing seamless connectivity with other existing metro lines.
In response to challenges in the railway PA system, such as complicated construction, high costs of servers and broadcast equipment, large network latency, poor sound quality, and electromagnetic interference, itc initiated the Research and Application of Long-Distance Audio Transmission for Smart PA System project, which is recognized reaching internationally advanced levels through expert evaluation. Now, the solution has 10 invention patents, 12 utility model patents, and 18 software copyrights granted. itc has also participated in developing 2 local standards and 2 group standards as well as led in drafting 2 group standards.
itc railway PA system applied in Line 11 uses low-latency, high-fidelity, cross-network digital audio transmission technology. This ensures distortion-free audio with sound quality enhanced by at least three times. The acquisition and playback delay is controlled within 5 milliseconds, which is 40 times better than conventional broadcasts. The system also features a high-reliability redundant power supply with intelligent monitoring and active control technology, enabling automatic fault testing and precise fault location for each digital audio management unit.
Moreover, itc railway PA system provides HD broadcasting capabilities in complex and noisy rail transit environments, which is essential for broadcasting important information such as ticket checks, train delays, and announcements. In emergencies, the PA system can be used to guide passengers promptly and efficiently, improving emergency response capabilities.
The opening of Line 11 allows Guangzhou Metro to exceed 1,000 kilometers of metro and intercity routes, marking the completion of the loop line for Guangzhou.
